Assistant Project Manager

Summary:

Provide organized, consistent, and effective project management support to designated Project Management Team members and external clients, subcontractors and vendors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

– PM software management (Procore)

– Bid Solicitation, clarification, and organization

– Site visits as needed

– Required Document management (Safety Forms, Insurance Certificates, W9)

– Preparing subcontracts

– Managing project schedule

– Creating change orders and purchase orders

– Project document management

– Managing superintendent daily logs and weekly reports

– Submittals/Shop drawing approval and coordination

– Weekly Zoom calls with Superintendent team

– Close-out books

– Scheduling warranty work

– Other Duties as assigned

Accountability:

 

Qualifications – To perform the job successfully, an individual should possess the following qualifications:

  • 3-5 years in an administrative or management position.

Epoxy Flooring & Finish Carpenter/ Installation Technician

Job Description:

TWC’s unique approach to the Design/Build process starts by creating a team for each project. From assistance in site selection, project feasibility, and design options, we work with our clients to ensure that their project is accomplished in a way that is best for their business and their budget.

Summary: The Carpenter/Installation Technician installs epoxy flooring, cabinet/casework, countertops, veterinary equipment, and molding at animal care projects sites across the United States.

Department: Superintendent

Reports to: Strategic Business Development Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Unload material, equipment, and supplies from the truck to prepare for each workday
  • Demolition of existing flooring as needed
  • Install epoxy flooring experience not required, will train
  • Install cabinets, counter tops, and veterinary equipment (dog cages, kennels, lift tables, surgery tables, etc)
  • Operate handheld and battery-operated tools
  • Perform finish carpentry as needed
  • Work from a kneeling, crouching, or bent over position frequently
  • Sweep, wipe down, and clean up jobsite at the end of the workday

Qualifications to perform the job successfully, an individual should possess the following qualifications:

  • Education/Experience:  1 + years’ experience working as a carpenter, concrete finisher, tradesman, or general laborer
  •  Personal Skills:
    • High ethical standards
    • Detail-oriented
    • Ability to read blueprints
    • Previous work experience using hand tools
    • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
    • Solid multi-tasking skills

    Experienced Carpenter

    Experienced Carpenter

     Summary – TWC Inc. has a full-time career opportunity as a Commercial Construction Carpenter to assist the Construction Project Team. The carpenter will work primarily in the Willmar, MN region, but must be willing to travel occasionally.

    Education

    • Prefer Associates degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; OR one year or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Takes direction from Superintendent
    • Reads blue prints
    • Uses appropriate tools to cut, shape lumber and other material according to blueprint specifications
    • Installs Equipment
    • Installs cabinets, counters and molding
    • Finish Carpentry
    • Demolition

    Architectural Drafting Job Captain

    Summary:  Oversees the extended team in the drafting of complete design and construction documents, ensuring that the team stays on schedule and conforms to the requirements of the architect or lead designer.

    The Job Captain will also perform and complete drafting items or tasks that need to be accomplished.  The Job Captain reports progress and issues to the Architectural Manager as needed.

    Reports to:  Architectural Manager

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the team in the drafting of complete design and construction documents, ensuring that the documents are at a level consistent with TWC, Inc. quality standards.
    • Provide direction and supervision to the drafting team
    • Analyze information available to determine and plan the best approach to develop and complete drawings
    • Manage multiple projects from start to finish
    • Draw detailed construction documents
    • Prepare drawings from very complex sketches, notes, details and or verbal instructions
    • Prepare 3D renderings using applicable platform

     

    Qualifications:

    • Understanding of building construction technology
    • Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit BIM software and AutoCAD
    • Working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office programs
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously

      IT Coordinator

      Summary – Maintains TWC’s Information Technology systems and networks.  Performs both technical and administrative tasks to ensure functionality and efficiency of computer and telecom systems.

      Department:  Internal Operations

      Reports to:  Internal Operations Manager

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Advise management with the goal of making the appropriate IT decisions and choices
      • Provide technical support to all employees
      • Set up computers, cell phones, and software for employees
      • Design, plan and execute training for new employees
      • Configure and install network equipment (firewalls, switches, AP’s)
      • Oversee, track and measure system and network performance
      • Perform troubleshooting and execute needed repairs
      • Execute different maintenance activities when needed including security patches and updates
      • Maintain and monitor Anti-virus applications
      • Work with external IT professionals to ensure software and hardware are working properly
      • Manage cell phone plans for the company
      • Maintain and backup company data
      • Manage IP phone system
      • Manage permissions in active directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
      • Other duties as assigned
      • Must be able to travel up to 1 week/month

      Qualifications – To perform the job successfully, an individual should possess the following qualifications:

      • Education – High School Diploma or GED, Associates Degree in Information Technology, or equivalent certifications and experience is preferred

      Commercial Construction Traveling Superintendent

      Summary – TWC Inc. has a full-time career opportunity as a Commercial Construction Superintendent to assist the Construction Project Team as an onsite Superintendent during the construction phase of projects across the United States.

      Education

      • Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities

      • Studies specifications to plan procedures for construction on basis of starting and completion times and staffing requirements for each phase of construction.
      • Orders procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules.
      • Confers with and directs supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays
      • Confers with supervisory personnel and labor representatives to resolve complaints and grievances within work force
      • Confers with supervisory and engineering personnel and inspectors and suppliers of tools and materials to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods.
      • Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules
      • Prepares or reviews reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports. Directs workers concerned with major maintenance or reconditioning projects for existing installations.
      • Other duties may be assigned

      Supervisory Responsibilities

      Directly supervises all subcontractors on the job, carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
