We met with Dr. Miller of Mission Animal Hospital, a non-profit animal hospital, in January of 2015. At that point, Dr. Miller and the team at Mission Animal Hospital had outgrown their space and were considering their options. Dr. Miller worked with TWC Development Consultant, Keith Nelson, on choosing the best site for Dr. Millers' practice. Once the ideal building was selected, we began the task of building-out the space to fit the needs of Mission Animal Hospital.
In February, Keith met with Dr. Miller at the Western Veterinary Conference in Las Vegas, NV. Keith and Dr. Miller took that opportunity to walk the tradeshow floor looking for different equipment, lighting, and material options for her practice. When this opportunity presents itself, its a great way to view the different options on the market, compare equipment, and ask the companies direct questions about their products.
Construction on the new location of Mission Animal Hospital started in June. The build out space encompasses just over 6,000 square feet and has a separate cat waiting area, designated cat exam rooms, three other exam rooms, a fifth exam room that doubles as a comfort room, radiology, two surgery suites, and special procedures space. The owner added large sheets of salvaged steel, images of patients turned into window screens, and more oversized patient photos displayed throughout the reception area which help make the space feel home-like and welcoming.
