The owners of the Marlboro Animal Hospital are a husband and wife team that were referred to us by Live Oak Bank in 2013. They had secured financing and was looking for an experienced, Veterinary Design-Build firm to renovate her practice. The city would not allow them to increase the footprint of their facility, but the building (built in 1974) needed renovations, including ADA compliancy. This was a complex project as we needed to phase the renovation to ensure their business was operational throughout the construction project but there was not a lot of space to work with. For a period of time the team at Marlboro Animal Hospital worked out of the walkout, lower level until we were able to complete the upper level portion of the renovation. Ultimately, the phasing was successful and the Marlboro Animal Hospital team was able to continuing serving their clients throughout the project. The project was completed in 2015.

The exterior of Marlboro Animal Hospital was designed in a traditional style with blue façade, white trim, and stone accent on the base of the structure. The interior has a great, welcoming feel created by using wood on the floors and the exposed beam above the waiting area and reception desk.

Since the completion of this project, TWC has begun working on a second facility for Dr.Coffman and team, Marlboro Wellness Clinic and Boarding Facility.
